Happy birthday, Lemon 🍋

She’s a Lemon, not a lime; watch out world, it’s bad girl time!

This is just a quick post to wish a happy birthday to the most rotten Lemon around. (Would you just look at the puppy in that picture? My heart! ❤️) My bad girl is FOUR today. In celebration, I googled “fun questions to answer about your pet.”

  • What is your pet’s most embarrassing habit? Eating cat poop. She’s not embarrassed, but she should be.
  • If your pet could talk, what would their favorite phrase be? Lemon can’t speak English, but she can understand English, and her favorite phrase is “dinner.” Followed by “breakfast,” and “do you wanna go for a walk/car ride.”
  • Does your pet have a secret talent? What is it? Limbo? For a stout dog she can squish pretty low to the ground, allowing her to get under things when she doesn’t want momma to take something from her or give her a bath.
  • What is the weirdest thing your pet has ever eaten? All the poop. Cat, deer, coyote, dog…she’s a connoisseur.
  • What is the most unusual thing your pet is afraid of? Her reflection. My hand, when it’s under the covers and she’s over the covers.
  • What is your pet’s signature dance move? She’s a bit of a jumper, I suppose. She also likes to throw her paws in the air and wave them like she just don’t care.
  • What is the most ridiculous thing your pet has ever done to get your attention? Nipped my butt while I was reading!
  • Does your pet have a favorite person in the house besides you? Who is it? Not in the house, but she really loves our maintenance crew. She demands a pet every single time she sees them on our walkies.
  • If your pet could have their own theme song, what would it be? Girls in the Hood by Megan Thee Stallion
  • What is your pet’s “superpower”? Power absorption.
  • Where is your pet’s favorite place to nap? My lap. Followed by her crate.
  • What is the funniest nickname you have for your pet? Probably Dump Truck. Maybe Nincompoop.
  • If your pet could have a job, what would it be? She really loves being a kept pupper, but if forced to work, probably a social media influencer. The kind who mukbang. Or unbox gifts.
  • What is your pet’s most prized possession? Whatever knee cap she’s currently chewing on. Or maybe her crate, because she does find a lot of comfort in it.
  • What is your pet’s go-to “guilty look” when they’ve done something wrong? It’s more of a guilty run. Under furniture.

And here is another fun fact about Lemon that some of you may not know — she was named after my favorite queen from Canada’s Drag Race and the winner of Canada v. The World season 2.

I have a full day of teaching today, but you better believe that I’ll be spoiling my girl rotten tomorrow. She’s getting a knee bone this morning, but tomorrow calls for the beach and a pup cup! Long Beach is incredibly dog friendly, so I might even try to find a coffee shop that we can both enjoy.

Happiest birthday, my sweet rotten! I am sure grateful that we get to span time together and that I get to be your momma. ❤️ 🍋
